3M™ Cubitron™ II Fiber Disc 982C with 3M™ Precision Shaped Grain grinds extremely fast on carbon steel and offers up to 2x higher grinding speed and life compared to other fiber discs. The lower working pressure results in more working comfort for the user while being able to finish more parts per disc. Suitable for heavier chipping work.

Our discs raise the bar for advanced abrasives, doubling cutting speed and life over conventional discs while requiring less grinding pressure. Use for grinding and blending large and small parts of metal surfaces. Heavy-duty applications allow you to do more parts per disc, reducing disc replacement.
Our discs feature 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology, which generates triangular abrasive grains electrostatically placed on the backing. This creates sharp points that each act as a separate cutting tool and cut through metal extremely efficiently. These points wear off evenly and continually sharpen themselves as they break off. As a result, less frictional heat is generated and the disc lasts longer. The tough, rigid backing is made of vulcanized fiber that is wear-resistant and stands up to tough grinding applications.
