3M™ Cubitron™ II 984F Abrasive Belts offer revolutionary performance with 3M Precision Shaped Grain that cuts effortlessly through metal. Our 984F belts contain a grinding aid, making them ideal for medium to high-pressure applications.
3M™ Cubitron™ II Sanding Belts 984F make quick cuts with less heat generation and provide a uniform finish throughout the life of the product. At the same time, they prevent burn marks. Our sanding belts use 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grits that are electrostatically formed into sharp points that act as separate cutting tools and quickly cut through metal. These points continually sharpen themselves as small pieces break off: therefore, they deliver consistent results for a long time at a lower grinding pressure. This means that our belt products grind better and last longer than conventional ceramic industrial abrasive products on the market. They have a fabric weld, which provides extra strength when grinding under medium to high pressure. Our abrasive belts are available in various widths and sizes for virtually any industrial belt grinder. Narrow belts are used with portable belt grinders for grinding or blending. Medium belts are used on back stands to eliminate welds, for material removal and to create a grain texture in stainless steel. Widebands are used with wideband machines to fit metal sheets.
