3M™ PELTOR™ X4 Hearing Protectors are our slim, lightweight hearing protectors with innovative foam spacers and inserts in the ear cups to increase attenuation and provide protection from low frequencies up to 33 dB. They feature an electrically insulated, dual headband that reduces heat build-up on top of the head.

For high-quality hearing protection from medium to high noise levels, use 3M™ PELTOR™ X4 Hearing Hoods. 3M PELTOR Hearing Hoods X4 are color-coded bright green, making it easy to choose the right level of protection from the X Series. Our ear muffs combine 3M's legendary expertise in hearing protection with advanced technology. They include a specially designed spacer and new ear cushion technology that improve noise reduction without unnecessary bulk and weight. This means the X4 is lightweight and even more streamlined compared to other highly attenuating ear muffs, while offering up to 33 dB. The electrically insulated, dual headband design reduces heat buildup on top of the head, and the stainless steel wire, coated with plastic, makes the headband the most robust 3M has to offer. The headband is both strong and comfortable because the flat wide headband has a soft plastic coating that provides stable pressure on the top of the head. No uncovered metal means the product is "dielectric," providing electrical resistance for applications with a risk of sparks or charge. Carefully molded sliding pieces allow the ear muffs to be easily adjusted on the head. Wide soft foam ear cushions keep workers comfortable, while flat shells offer better compatibility with other safety equipment. The foam cushions and inserts, available as hygiene kits, are easy to replace if they become worn or damaged, extending the life of the product. They are also available in helmet-mounted or neckband models.
