The versatile 3M™ Aluminum Foil Tape 427 can be used for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications, including fixing various materials, applying repair materials, sealing and much more. Our tape consists of a very soft aluminum foil backing and a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive layer. This tape is a variation of tape 425 with liner. The tape is resistant to fire, moisture, UV radiation, weather and chemicals. In addition, the tape is thermally conductive for improved heating and cooling efficiency. This highly deformable tape is ideally suited for difficult applications that require a heat and light reflective tape. It is suitable for taping aircraft prior to paint stripping, for blocking moisture and for mechanically attaching wiring and heat exchangers in white goods equipment. This tape also reflects and diffuses heat and can be used to repair cracks in car bodies. You can also use the tape to effectively stamp aluminum foil parts for aerospace parts, household goods and automobiles.
