The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Fiber Disc 1187C offers significant productivity gains in medium to heavy-duty operations thanks to its exceptionally high-performance, new 3M Precision-Shaped Grain, combined with a rigid fiber backing. This disc achieves higher cutting speed, greater durability and longer life than other fiber discs, all with less grinding pressure.

The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 Fibers Disc 1187C features redesigned 3M Precision Shaped Grain, taking the legendary speed and life of 3M™ Cubitron™ Performance abrasives to a new level. These product benefits include higher productivity and lower overall grinding costs compared to other fiber wheels and grinding wheels when grinding a variety of metals, including stainless steel and other heat-sensitive alloys. This long-life fiber wheel delivers up to 56% more total material removed compared to the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fiber Wheel 987C, 36+ and has a high cutting speed with high material removal at various mates of applied pressure. In addition, it features a grinding tool that minimizes temperatures for heat-sensitive alloys. In addition, this disc is designed to help reduce hand-arm vibration exposure, increase throughput and complete more parts per disc in medium to high pressure grinding applications.
