Cut-off wheels

With deburring wheels, various materials can be machined be machined. As the name suggests, this disc is mainly used for the removing burrs and breaking edges. It is important that a deburring disc continues to perform until the disc is completely worn is.

Reinforced grinding wheels can be used on various materials such as various steels, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous and titanium. Make sure you use the right deburring wheel that is suitable for the material you want to machine. As a rule of thumb, the harder the material, the softer the sanding disc bond should be.
In addition, editing also plays also plays a role. Corners and burrs have sharp edges and pull the abrasive grain therefore easily out of the bond. Therefore, the use of a hard bond is is recommended here. If surfaces or small welds are to be machined, then a disc that is too hard will quickly become blunt. So choose a moderate to soft disc bond. Of course, we will be happy to advise you.

Removal of mill scale with deburring discs

Mill scale is often difficult to remove. The disc becomes quickly fills up or becomes blunt. A deburring disc that stands out in this area, is the Sigma Green grinding wheel. This is an aggressive disc made with a special grit and resin compound. Typically, the Sigma Green deburring disc is produced with one layer of coarse grit and a second layer of finer abrasive minerals, making a better finish achievable compared to standard deflashing wheels. The special resin bond results in a better balance, noticeably quieter grinding behavior and a much smoother running disc with less vibration.

3M™Cubitron™ II Cut-off Wheels

3M knows that efficiency is important to you, whether it's to assembly or finishing. For you, for your team, for your revenue. With durable, futuristic abrasives that keep your production running smoothly and make work easier, 3M innovations help your business and your employees further. 3M listens to the market and, as a result, developed the Cubitron II deburring wheel further developed into a second generation with a tool life that is up to 20% higher. Because of this high tool life, the speed at which the deflashing discs work and the pressure (up to three times lower than conventional discs), you remove more material more material in less time when deburring and you can keep going for longer. Thus we help you make your business more efficient.

Details 3M Cubitron II grinding wheels

Developed to grind faster and last longer than competing ceramics.
Contains 3M Precision Shaped Grain that is self-sharpening, cool working and provides optimal mineral breakdown for extra long life.
Rigid, reinforced resin bonded disc cuts through virtually any material, including stainless steel, mild steel and aerospace alloys
Always use in combination with a protective cap according to the size of the deburring wheel
3M™ Cubitron™ II Cut-off Wheels are made of 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain. They are rigid, bonded deburring wheels that cut quickly and last a long time. Our deburring wheels are specifically designed for stainless steel, mild steel and aerospace alloys.
For a deburring wheel that outperforms its competitors in cut and life, choose a 3M™ Cubitron™ II Deburring Wheel. Our deburring wheels feature a 3M Precision Shaped Grain that delivers a cool, extra-sharp cut long after competitive wheels have already been used up. The abrasive grains are preformed into triangular abrasive points (3M Precision Shaped Grain) that cut through metal like a knife, instead of grooving or plowing like traditional abrasives. These points continually sharpen themselves as small pieces break off, cutting through material extremely quickly. This limits the development of frictional heat, reducing heat-related stress cracking and discoloration. The recessed center section allows you to grind at any angle without damaging the surface all around. Our deburring wheels are bonded with rigid resin, 7 mm thick and useful for removing welds from inside corners. With these discs, you must use a guard that matches the size of the disc. The maximum speed of the deburring discs should be greater than or equal to the maximum speed of the grinding device being used.
