When choosing a suitable 3M double-sided tape, not only the adhesive an important consideration. Especially with rough and structured surfaces, the thickness of the adhesive layer can be a decisive factor. A 3M Transfer tape is therefore generally a better choice than a 3M double-sided tape for highly structured surfaces. Because 3M double-sided tape has a backing between two adhesive layers, the adhesive layers are thinner than those of transfer tape, which consist entirely of adhesive. How do you use 3M double-sided tape?

Applying 3M double-sided tape extra strong is actually quite simple. It actually works the same as regular adhesive tape, which almost everyone has in his or her desk drawer. Double-sided tape is often wrapped around a roll. Once you remove the tape from the roll, you need to attach the sticky side to the wall. Then by peeling off the protective layer from the other side, a sticky surface is created on which you can attach whatever needs to be hung.

How do you remove double-sided tape (double-sided adhesive tape)? Removing tape with a hair dryer may sound crazy, but this method is most definitely suitable for double-sided tape that is stubbornly stuck. This is because the heat from the hair dryer causes the tape's adhesive to soften and easily release. Turn a hair dryer on at the hottest setting and aim at the tape from close range. After half a minute, try whether the strong double-sided tape already comes off easily. If not, heat the strong double-sided tape further with the hair dryer. Remove any adhesive residue as soon as the strong double-sided tape comes off. This is because this is a lot easier when they are still warm.
