Recommendations for Polishing Aluminum

Use polishing speeds of 50-60 m/s, Avoid pronounced surface heating, otherwise the structure of the aluminum changes, negative influence on the result after anodizing. Use high-quality aluminum polishing paste from Menzerna: - Optimized bonding- Better adhesion to the polishing wheel - Effective heat dissipation

For hard alloys: use more greasy polishing paste. For soft alloys: use drier polishing paste. Avoid excessively large particles in polishing products. Polishing errors only become visible after anodizing resulting in high failure rates.

Use individually developed Menzerna Top-Cut aluminum polishing paste with custom grain size. Only start polishing with aluminum polishing paste after sanding with a fine grit, this provides material retention and shorter polishing times.
