The Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc is a durable, non-woven disc for the first step in cleaning, blending, deburring and finishing. Our discs perform well on contoured and uneven surfaces without eroding or damaging the base material.
Our fast-cutting the Scotch-Brite™ SL Surface Conditioning Disc is an ideal first step in cleaning, blending, deburring and finishing. The open web material of our discs stays cool in use and is full run resistant, for long-lasting use. The evenly spaced aluminum oxide abrasive grains offer high speed for consistent finishing. Our surface conditioning discs use aluminum oxide abrasive grain, preferred by industrial professionals for its fast cut and long life. The abrasive grain is strong, durable and breaks down during use to create new cutting edges all the time for a more efficient cut, compared to traditional abrasive grains, such as garnet, which wear out quickly during use. Aluminum oxide mineral is strong, tough, has a high cutting speed and retains little heat. It is widely used for polishing, sanding and finishing - on numerous substrates in both wood and metalworking, including ferroalloys. Scotch-Brite Industrial Abrasives are unique surface conditioning products in which abrasive grains are blended with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers. This creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results over the life of the product. The open web material stays cool during use and is full-bodied. As a result, the fibers are less likely to clog and the abrasive minerals remain high performing.
