Fine dust costs you two years of your life

That particulate matter is harmful to your health is well known. But because the harmful effects are not apparent immediately after exposure, there is a temptation not to wear respiratory protection. The job doesn't take long, the PPE isn't in place or its on, it doesn't look nice, it obstructs the view of the work and fill in the excuses.
New research shows that particulate matter is two times more harmful than previously believed. In the Netherlands, most particulate matter is measured over parts of North Brabant and in the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Logical areas if you know how much industry there is in Brabant, and the (air)port in the big cities also make a significant contribution to the concentration of particulate matter.

What you can do?
Safety starts at the source. Whenever possible, choose 3M CubitronII abrasives. These have been shown to reduce particulate matter by up to 50%. This can be seen with the naked eye: the abrasive is more like chips than dust.
Provide good dust extraction.
Measure the air quality to raise the awareness of those present, both in the workplace and in a radius around it.
Invest in good PPE and involve the user in the choice. This increases acceptance.
Finally, clean up and dust-free disposal of PPE :)

We provide toolboxes on safety. Feel free to ask about the possibilities!
